Electrical Engineer | Solar O&M Engineer

I am Sourav Mahata, a B.Tech Electrical Engineer and Solar O&M professional with 5+ years of hands-on experience managing more than 20 MW of rooftop and ground-mounted solar plants. My engineering work covers SCADA monitoring, preventive and breakdown maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, plant performance optimization, grid synchronization, team handling, safety compliance and technical reporting.

I have worked with major clients including Indian Oil Corporation, Shree Cement and West Bengal Government. I am also an Electrical Supervisor Trade License Holder.

Alongside engineering, I am a professional blogger and career-content creator. Operated and maintained a 10 MW ground-mounted solar plant for the West Bengal Government. Carried out transformer, inverter, SMB, string, cable, earthing system and 33 kV switchyard maintenance.

Managed O&M of a 5 MW rooftop solar plant for Indian Oil Corporation. Performed preventive and corrective maintenance of inverters, transformers and DC systems, with quick fault diagnosis and rectification to reduce downtime.
